Annual Meeting for the NC School Nutrition Association

Each year, UNCG participants in the Annual Meeting for the NC School Nutrition Association (SNA). Meetings include educational sessions and an equipment and product exposition. Members come to our campus for hands-on skill development workshops.

The School Nutrition Association (SNA) came to the Nutrition Department here at UNCG to visit our nutrition lab (2015).

The School Nutrition Association 2018 "chopped" challenge, where participants worked with a limited group of food supplies to create a healthy meal.

Knife skills, including sharpening and multiple cutting methods
Basic kitchen skills such as measuring, tare weights, and the impact of acid/alkaline mediums on vegetable texture and color
